About Me
My name is Christian Smitherman, and I am a computer geek, programmer, and tech enthusiast from southern Colorado — not the most high-tech place in the country, so the Internet is what fuels my passion.
I got started with coding in 2019 when I was fourteen. My dad had some books on C, C++, and C#, and almost as soon as I picked them up I was hooked on programming. The problem-solving, computer logic, and the entire software development process fascinated me. Soon I was learning JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and even some relatively unknown languages like RobotBASIC (gold star to you if you’ve heard of that one).
But I’m also a guy with diverse interests. I’m an enthusiastic Linux user. A wanna-be hacker even though I don’t know a damn thing about hacking. An amateur writer of action thrillers. And I have passions for the Japanese language, martial arts, and engineering — among a hundred other things.
My goal, on both my website and my YouTube channel, is to help coders in their education with quality content and creative projects that fuel their enthusiasm for developing software. I also hope to become better at what I do through the process of teaching others.
